Fred was a minor character on Land of the Lost. It was created using stop-animation.
Personality and Appearance[]
Fred is a bipedal, armless, mechanical dinosaur-like construct of an unspecified type of metal, around ten feet in height. The head is bird-like, with two luminous eyes, and a beak. It also emits a mechanical squawking sound.
Background[]
Fred was a mechanical dinosaur-like creation of the Zarn's, sent after Will and Rick to drive them away from his ship. It was a relentless pursuer, a faultless tracker and unaffected by the sudden surge of gravity that was capable of incapacitating the Marshalls, and even Spike. While not quite as fast as the Marshalls, it was inexhaustible, able to maintain a constant pace without tiring. It was also able to easily scale the cliffs that Rick and Will Marshall struggled to climb, despite his lack of forelimbs. He was destroyed by a bolt of lightning on top of a ledge.
