The Bug is a large mosquito-like insect that dwells in the 2009 incarnation of the Land of the Lost. Upon Rick Marshall's arrival, it attaches itself to Rick's neck and sucks the blood from his neck, only to be squashed when he collapses due to blood loss from a giant leech.
