The Altrusian Moth is a moth that only comes out at night and is necessary in the Sleestak growing process.

Altrusian Moths are required to fertilize Sleestak eggs. The Moths naturally live a nocturnal lifestyle. They are cold-blooded, and cannot survive an extended night, yet apparently cannot survive during diurnal hours either.
The Sleestak must consume moth-like organisms. The Sleestak once attempted to increase the amount of eggs they could hatch by disabling a Pylon to create perpetual nightfall in order to give them the numbers they feel they would need in order to resume control of the Land, their strategy turned out to be unfeasible and the moths and the land were eventually restored to normal.
